damn im irritated. DAMN.
i SHOULD be enjoying myself during my holiday here but i came across tis article where the BUMIPUTERAS (malays in m'sia whose old folks so-called owned malaysia) protested for opening a slot of TEN percent to the NON-BUMIPUTERAs (chinese, indian, etc) in one of our national uni (UiTM) in case u guys flunk 1st grade MATHS, percentage is made up of the total of a 100, which makes the subtraction of 10 percent
100%-10%=90%
WTF is happening? the education we have in malaysia rite now, honestly ain't heading anywhere NEAR the vision 2020.
one GOOD example, the usage of english in our maths n science subjects. This particular project was started in the year 2003 n 5years down the road, the government are trying to switch it back to an ALL-MALAY SYSTEM??? in order to b on par with globalisation, we have to at LEAST try to master the international language right? the desision of changing the subjects to be taught in the english medium was a superb move but WHY is revised all over again n we as the citizens have to suffer? take the teachers for example, by changing the subject to english all of a sudden back in 2003, u honestly think it was easy for teachers? i've met n heard of teachers who BROKE DOWN in front of the students as they can't UNDERSTAND nor EXPLAIN the contents of teaching well in english as most 'crash-course in teaching science n maths in english' i'd say, only happened AFTER the new way of teaching started.. those teachers i refered to were frm 'you-know-wad-race' and look-ie here, Im defending all if those victims instead of pushing them all aside.
QUOTA, QUOTA, QUOTA. tat's wad it's ALL about eh? though im aware of the whole history thingy goin on in out beloved country, i don't deny the fact tat they should b the 'favourite' ones. even so, don't you think wad the UiTM students were VERY riduculas? can u just IMAGINE how WE, the NONs whold feel.. OMG. i can't believe tis is happening. after working our ASS off SPM n STPM.. more than 70percent of JPA scholarships goes to the BUMI, how about US? aren't WE considered MALAYSIAN? even a ten percent, is that too much to ask for? things are getting riduculas n out of hand, don't blame me when i'd rather contribute to another country in the future..
